10 Most Amazing Inventions Of 2013

EOTO Reflection

This massive wave of technology really altered the way consumers were thinking, and for that reason, many buyers and technology companies took advantage of many of these new technology companies by showing the value in them.

The video recorder was a great tool, and I was unaware of how valuable it was at the time. According to the presentation, Apex sold the first VTR in 1956 for 50,000 dollars. This is massive, considering the dollar value in the 1950s.

The invention of email stood out to me as it was a huge threat to the Postal Service. If any company is in a circumstance of major threat with a global change, they will do anything they can to keep their customers far away. Nowadays, they coexist and have two similar purposes, but very different methods.

With new technologies entering the market continuously, it is important for everyone, even more so in the media and entertainment industry, to ask the simple question: Will this technological device be relevant in 10 years, if so, will it have a positive or negative impact?

As we move forward, podcasts have become widely popular. I had no idea that podcasts were originally produced in GarageBand. I began listening to podcasts once Bill O"Reilly, a journalist and political commentator, was taken off the air of his show, The O'Reilly Factor. Now, instagram influencers, scientists, comedians, nerds, etc., have a niche market to broadcast their interest or expertise.

After listening to the presentations, technology has certainly evolved faster than I imagined. There are brilliant people that have an eye for analyzing the technology market and predicting the future. This is a skill I think most industries can learn to understand, allowing companies to grow rather than die off and suffer.
